Fall Open House & Community Cleanup Day

  • The Historic Oddfellow Manor of Elkins WV 225 Georgetown Road Elkins, WV, 26241 United States (map)

Come spend a fall afternoon at the Manor.

On Saturday, October 10, we’ll open the doors and invite our friends, neighbors, and community to explore the property, learn about the restoration of the Historic Oddfellow Manor, and see where we hope to take this remarkable place in the years ahead.

We’ll also be spending the afternoon working outside and tackling some fall cleanup projects around the grounds. If you’d like to lend a hand, bring your favorite gloves, rake, or yard tools and jump in. Stay for an hour or stay for the afternoon—every little bit helps.

And if you’d rather simply come visit, that’s perfectly fine too.

This is an open house as much as it is a workday.

We’ll have apple cider, pumpkin cookies, donuts, and other fall treats to share. We’ll also have the disc golf frisbees out, weather permitting, so kids and families can try their hand at a few holes around the property.

Children are absolutely welcome. This is a family-friendly event.

There is no admission fee, no obligation to volunteer, and no need to spend the entire afternoon with us. Come explore. Ask questions. Hear some stories. Lend a hand if you’d like. Or simply grab a cup of cider and enjoy an October afternoon at the Manor.

Restoring a place like this doesn't happen all at once.

One window. One garden bed. One cleaned-up corner. One Saturday afternoon.

The Manor is a long game.

And we’d love for you to be part of it.
